Die Dorks - Tyrannoplauzus Fett CD
The Dorks, which means nothing else than that they are a bunch of idiots, come from the deepest South of Bavaria. They still are a bunch of jerks - as the band name already says – but they love making Punk-Rock! They love it so much that the female fronted band with the members Lizal (vocals/guitar), Maddin (vocals), P-Assi (guitar), Wastl (base-guitar) and Bons (drums) made it to publish their third record within the last three years. Their last album “Servus, Gruezi und K.O.” has been published one year ago on SN-Punx. Only one year after they have released their first self-made-record “Grundtriebe”. With their new CD “Tyrannoplazus Fett” the Dorks remain true to the good old Punk-Rock and themselves. Whoever enjoyed listening to their music before will still be loving their new songs but might also be surprised that they improved their skills in music a lot compared to the last two CD´s. But one thing didn’t change – their love to provoke everybody with their lyrics. Which means nothing else that anyone listening to their music needs a lot of understanding of irony. But their new record also contains a lot of socially critical songs. With “Tyrannoplauzus Fett” the Dorks succeed to add a lot of anger and pressure to their sound. The singing and music became dirtier, the drums are banging harder, and the guitars became more aggressive. You can hear that the change of the base-guitar player did help the band to go one step further ahead and really every one of the band members enjoyed recording this CD. The Dorks also manage it to mix any kind of music with their Punk-Rock. No matter if it´s SKA, Rock n´Roll or Hardcore! They are just doing whatever they want to! Implemented instruments like a bag pipe, tuba, harmonica or a trombone hit the spot good. The Dorks remain true to their principles since the band was founded: “Punk is whatever you make out of it!” That is exactly what makes the five musicians from Marktl in southern Bavaria so authentic. What, unfortunately, can be detected more and more seldom in the adapted and monotonic Punk-Rock-Scene 2012!
